Description:
The FirstSource Program is intended to help DHS aggregate its buying power instead of each agency buying the same products and services at higher costs. FirstSource will provide commercial IT commodity solutions; standardized equipment consistent with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) initiative among the Components, and systems that enhance mission effectiveness and create economies of scale through consolidation of requirements and the buying-power of the Department as a whole.

This contract provides DHS with access to a wide variety of commercial supply catalogs for IT commodity products from multiple Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), producers, and suppliers, and supports the DHS goal of promoting a functionally integrated Department.
